Television stations are no longer required to air Public Service Announcements (PSA’s) at no charge. If a station airs PSA’s at no charge then they are aired overnight. This is called “spray and pray” marketing and is not effective. News departments are too busy to give recognition during newscasts, so the Public Relation efforts that paid off in the past, are no longer effective. Bridge Marketing applies the same principles of advertising to promoting non-profit groups.
